03 Apr Mining Review Africa, Cobre commences diamond drilling at Okavango
Cobre Limited has commenced a 5-hole, 2, 000-meter diamond drilling programme at its wholly owned Okavango Copper Project in Botswana.
The 2,000m programme aims to test for copper-silver mineralisation along strike from neighboring MMG’s Zone 5 and Boseto groups, adjacent to elevated copper intersected in a 2019 drill program, and on the margins of an interpreted basement high, along constrained sub-basins evident in ground gravity and drill data.
The OCP, strategically situated near MMG’s Khoemacau Copper mine, is expected to experience significant value enhancement through successful drilling of anomalous copper-silver mineralisation.
The project is set to commence within two months, with the market expected to receive results upon the receipt of assays.
